Part of my mistake is thinking that love has to have a reason. That it’s a reward that you get from behaving right or doing something well. That it is a merit and you have to earn it.

So I keep looking for reasons why I am loved by God.
In my brain love cannot be freely given it’s earned , it’s a reward. In my world it seems people love you for a reason , either because they want something from you now or maybe in the future. They love to get and somehow that is how my brain has wrapped around the idea of love.

Maybe the idea of needing a because is why I always begin to feel unwanted after two unreplied messages

Am realizing that love is just love. There isn’t need for an explanation or a thesis and a 30 page essay explaining why you love someone. Sometimes and most times you just love because God loves us. He has no reason to. He made us and we wrong him all the time.
Yet He loves us, He watches us, gives us second chances and more and even thinks about us. God loves us because He is good God loves us simply because He is love and He would leave the 99 just to get to me and you.
God loves me.
God love you.
And there is no other reason that makes sense to me except that He is love. That is His nature. That He is the embodiment of love. That there is no love without Christ.
And maybe when I come to grips with that I will know how to accept love. Love from myself. Love from the people around me. I will know how because I would have accepted a Love that is perfect.
Therefore I should also love everyone. My brothers, peers, random people simply because if I love others and have love and God is love then am sharing God with the others and therefore we are all collectively experiencing God and perfecting His love for us
So when you love , you are experiencing God who is love ….
