I’m amazed at Your existence. I am alive because You are. I am kind because You are. I am loving because you are. Because You are, God, in a world where identity crisis is now a thing. I have identity. Being able to be recognised as Your child means much more to me than anything. Being a child of a God without even asking. Gaining an inheritance so great without asking. What awes me more is the kind of God You are. What kind of a God puts forgiveness before pride? What kind of God puts love before law? What of a God are You to always have room for those who trespass against you?
Really God? Don’t You get sick of me, don’t I disgust You? When I’m covered in sin. Yet, You say come let me cleanse You.
What have I done to deserve this love?
Out of all the creatures You made, You always choose me.
I’m so special to You and I don’t even know why.
When I lose my path Lord you hold my hand, and You take me back to the cross where it all became clear. The extent to which You’d sacrifice for me.
Then how much more should I love You, I don’t have much. I only have what You gave me. And with that Lord I’m going to glorify You.
With this little I’ll let the world know You are the God who loves more than the whole universe combined.
I’ll let them know You see us, You see everyone.
I’ll let them know you know us, you have counted the number of hairs upon our heads. How much you know what we desire, what we’re striving for, what deprives us of sleep. You know everything.
With a father like You, I never doubt for a second that I have purpose because You do everything on purpose. Bringing me here can never be a mistake.
With a father like You, I find comfort in just spending time with You. You are so calm, so gentle yet powerful.
How do You manage to not let your anger get ahead of You? Teach me to be like You father.
With a father like You, I’ll never be afraid of the arrow that flies by night nor the pestilence that falls by day ;because You have assured me that he who dwells inYour presence will abide under Your wings. Such level of protection!
You give me rest everyday, saying ‘worry not my child’ because you have already given me all things that pertain to life and godliness.
‘You love me’ is an understatement of what you show towards me. Such a deep, affectionate, longing for me to be with You in eternity.
Your love is so powerful it lasts an eternity, there are no ends to it. When You say forever You mean forever.
I know I belong to You, because I feesaYou. Your voice gives me chills, while my heart explodes in emotions I didn’t even know existed.
It’s like there is a part in me that was only created for You only, to be sensitive to You only. Because no one can fill that hole besides You.
God, how do You do it? To make me feel everything at once. Life, happiness, purpose, love just by spending time with You. How do You overwhelm me every timeI am intimate with You? Your love always feels fresh like our relationship becomes new everyday. With You there is always the spark, the excitement, as in newly weds. I have seen that the intimacy you made available for us with each other can never be compared to what is there between us and You. It’s like electricity, so forceful but so soothing, like gentle wind, like a quiet river. It feels so good, my brain cannot comprehend. Im intoxicated with Your love, like I’m taking a drug that hasn’t been made yet. The drug would take over the market if it ever hits the earth.
I get it now, why it is said ‘Your mercies are new every morning’ because your presence is so refreshing. Wherever I go, I know I can always come back home to You.
You are my Home, you’ll forever be my home. Whether in this body or in another, I’ll always fit in You, and you in me. Our bond will forever be unbreakable.
My best friend, my father, my leader, my joy, the love of my life, I just want you to know that I’m yours and you are mine.
